Historical epic Ceddo (SFF 1978) remains Ousmane Sembène’s most controversial film, strongly indicting both Islam and Christianity and showcasing the traditional African religion that came before them.
We acknowledge Australia’s First Nations People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, and pay respect to the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, upon whose Country SFF are based.
We honour the storytelling and culture of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia.
