Description

Director Cate Shortland reveals how her son, video operator Jonathan Shortland-Krawitz, helped to keep her on track when she was facing the challenges of making the German-language film 'Lore' in Europe, the big screen adaptation of Rachel Seiffert's novel "The Dark Room" . The film about the tribulations faced by the young in the aftermath of World War II, is one of 12 films in competition at the Sydney Film Festival. Cate's long awaited follow-up to Somersault was written for the screen by her and Robin Mukherjee and produced by Benny Drechsel, Karsten Stöter, LizWatts and Paul Welsh.
