Feature Screening: The Back of Beyond – Celebrating 70 Editions of SFF
To honour SFF’s 70th edition, SFFTV will host two screenings of the Australian classic The Back of Beyond. Screening as a tribute to the films’ premiere at the very first Sydney Film Festival in 1954, this documentary traverses the outback, following the steps of mailman Tom Kruse on his journey from Marree to Birdsville, charting the characters and obstacles he meets along the way.
Screens at SFFTV at Martin Place at the 70th Sydney Film Festival, 7-18 June.
